【Description】
イギリスのセントラル・セント・マーチンズを卒業。CAROL CHRISTIAN POELL（キャロル クリスチャンポエル）にてデザインを経験した高木洋二郎の手掛ける24SSシーズンよりスタートした新しいブランド。ブランドコンセプトは「相対する二面性」繊細さと強さ、伝統性とモダニティ、無骨さと繊細さなど相対する二つの要素を一つのデザインに落とし込むことで生まれる新しいワークウェアを表現。

1940年代ワークシャツより着想。スーパー120ウール糸とリサイクルポリエステル糸を組み合わせた先染めシャンプレー生地。生地が光のあたり方で、夕日の様なグラデーションになります。チェストフラップポケット2つスナップボタン開閉。あえてやや大きめなサイズをチョイスしています。ざっくりTシャツの上からなどに羽織って頂きたいアイテムです。

“不合理”

2025s/sはフランスの建築家 Rudy Ricciottiの作品より着想を得て制作。機能性と直線の合理性を強調。機能を求めて、生産における合理性を失う。生産物に対する美学的問題により生まれる不合理。通常は複数のパーツで構成される部分（外袖、フードと見頃）を一つのパーツで繋げることで、生産時の生地を多く使ってしまいコストが上がってしまうが、縫い目を減らし強度を上げることが出来る。軽く、柔らかい生地をボンディングすることで、本来の風合いは失うが、経年によって変化する新しい素材へと生まれ変わらせた。はじめは着心地が悪くても着る度に身体に馴染んでいき、柔らかい素材では得られ無い立体感を作り上げた。一見、不合理で非実用的に見えても、実は計算された合理性を持たせている。不合理、詩的、革新的なものを擁護する合理主義の抑圧から、思考、言語、人間の経験を解放する。


A new brand started in the 24SS season by Yojiro Takagi, a graduate of Central Saint Martins in England with design experience at CAROL CHRISTIAN POELL. The concept of the brand is “duality of opposites,” expressing new workwear created by incorporating two opposing elements such as delicacy and strength, tradition and modernity, ruggedness and delicacy into a single design.

Inspired by the work shirts of the 1940s. This yarn-dyed Champlain fabric combines super 120 wool yarn and recycled polyester yarn. The fabric takes on a sunset-like gradation depending on the way the light hits it. Two chest flap pockets with snap button closure. We dare to choose a slightly larger size. It is an item that you can wear over a T-shirt.

“Irrational”.

2025s/s was inspired by the work of French architect Rudy Ricciotti. It emphasizes functionality and the rationality of straight lines. In the pursuit of function, rationality in production is lost. Irrationality created by aesthetic problems with production. By joining parts that normally consist of multiple parts (outer sleeves, hood and hem) with a single part, we can reduce the number of seams and increase the strength of the garment, although this would use more fabric during production and increase costs. By bonding light and soft fabrics, the original texture is lost, but the material is reborn as a new material that changes with age. Even if the garment is uncomfortable to wear at first, it will become more comfortable as it is worn, creating a sense of three-dimensionality that cannot be achieved with softer fabrics. What at first glance may appear irrational and impractical is in fact a calculated rationality. It liberates thought, language, and human experience from the oppression of rationalism, which defends the irrational, the poetic, and the innovative.
