僕はOPPOSEDUALITYと出会ってから、より洋服人生が楽しくなりました。デザイナー高木さんは身長の高いカッコいい男性。才能に溢れた若き青年です。渡英後、セントマ(Central Saint Martins)を経てキャロルクリスチャンポエルにてデザインを経験。その過程で得た、特殊な技術や研ぎ澄まされた感性、日本人らしいストイックなもの作りの精神が服に反映されています。「繊細さと強さ」「伝統性とモダニティ」「無骨さと繊細さ」相対する二つの要素を一つ のデザインに落とし込むことで生まれる新しいワークウェアを表現、機能性を重視したポケット、経年変化を想定して作られたシルエットなど、現実的でありながらもオブジェクトとしての美しさを同時に追求している新しい感覚のブランドです。このマフラーに僕は一目惚れ。メルトンのウールを金型で裁断し、チェーンのように繋げ、その後ステンレス製リングで合体させたマフラーは蛇のようにウネウネした不思議な巻物。さて、このマフラーをどう巻くか。グルグルに首元に巻いてボリュームも出して良いし、両側を垂らしても良い。片方だけ垂らしも良い。色々なスタイリングに取り入れる事で、コーディネートが楽しくなりそうです。

After moving to the UK, he worked at Central Saint Martins before moving to Carol Christian Poell, where he gained experience as a designer. His clothes reflect the unique techniques, refined sensibilities, and stoic Japanese craftsmanship he developed during that time. By combining opposing elements—delicacy and strength, tradition and modernity, and ruggedness and delicacy—into a single design, he expresses a new kind of workwear. With pockets that emphasize functionality and silhouettes designed to evolve over time, this brand offers a new approach to practicality while simultaneously pursuing the beauty of the object. I fell in love with this scarf at first sight. Made from melton wool cut using a mold, connected like a chain, and then joined with stainless steel rings, the scarf is a mysterious, snake-like, undulating scroll. So, how do you wrap this scarf? You can wrap it around your neck to create volume, or you can let it hang down on both sides. You can also let it hang down on just one side. By incorporating it into various styles, you can have fun coordinating your outfits.
