ヴィンテージのサーベントジャケットからインスパイア。1920年代〜40年代辺りのヴィンテージ好きの方は見かけた事があるかもしれません。当時、召し使いの方が着用していたジャケットが、サーベントジャケット。ベストに袖が付いたようなデザインが特徴的で、着丈が短く作業をする際に邪魔にならないなどの機能がデザインに反映されています。A BLUE CONCERTの洋服をデザインする際に、"どんな人がどんな場所でどんなシチュエーションで着ている洋服か"をイメージして作ります。今回は逆のパターンで、当時の人がその場所でそのシチュエーションで着ていたジャケットを、A BLUE CONCERTのシグネイチャーでもある、6.5ozのデニムで、A BLUE CONCERTのアイコンでもあるスプリットラグランを落とし込み作りました。ほとんどのヴィンテージのサーベントジャケットは身頃と袖部分で生地を切り替えているので、普段着には使いにくいという問題がありましたが、A　BLUE CONCERTは1色で仕上げる事で、より普段着として使いやすいようにしています。当時、無意識のうちに機能重視でデザインされたであろうジャケットを、A BLUE CONCERTで "ベルボーイジャケット" とネーミングを付けて表現しました。

Inspired by vintage servant jackets, vintage lovers from the 1920s to 1940s may have seen them before. Servant jackets were worn by servants at the time. They feature a distinctive vest-like design with sleeves, and their short length ensures they don't get in the way while working, reflecting their functionality. When designing A BLUE CONCERT clothing, we imagine what kind of person would wear the clothes in what place and in what situation. This time, we took the opposite approach, creating a jacket that was worn by someone in that place and situation back then, using A BLUE CONCERT's signature 6.5oz denim and incorporating A BLUE CONCERT's iconic split raglan. Most vintage servant jackets have different fabrics between the body and sleeves, making them difficult to wear as everyday wear. However, A BLUE CONCERT's jackets are finished in a single color, making them more versatile for everyday wear. At the time, jackets were likely designed with a subconscious emphasis on functionality, and A BLUE CONCERT has named them the "bellboy jacket."
